We will update all the scores and results as they happen…

1st Round, Best of 5 sets

Terry Jenkins 3-0 Steve Brown

I nice comfortable first two sets for Terry as he powers his way through them.  Set 3 sees Bomber come back into the game, evening up the set at 2-2, but Jenkins has the throw in what could be the final leg… leaves himself 16 with Bomber back on 111.    And it’s GAME, SET and THE MATCH to The Bull.  Round 2 here he comes.

2nd ROUND, BEST OF 7 SETS

Terry Jenkins (98.14) 4-1 John Part (89.34)

Terry was outstanding in his second round game against former world champion John Part.  The Bull won nine of the opening 11 legs of the contest in the process of moving three sets up with some brilliant darts.

The three-time World Champion won the fourth set to raise his hopes of mounting a comeback, but Jenkins took the fifth set to progress to a third round clash with Andy Hamilton on Sunday evening.

“I felt very comfortable all the way through that match,” said Terry, who averaged over 98. “I’m very pleased with the way I played, and particularly with my finishing.

“I knew that area of my game had to be good tonight because John usually takes the chances that are given to him. I’m feeling very confident at the moment and I feel my game is in good shape for another good run this year.”

Disappointment was written on Terry’s face tonight – his scoring was huge (thirteen 180′s!), but he just missed a few crucial doubles.  Both players hit great averages, and gave us a 3rd round to be proud of.

The Bull in Dublin; Jenkins at the Grand Prix

Terry headed over to Dublin is fantastic form – his practice is really paying dividends at the moment, and he seems to be playing with a new found confidence and agression.

He had a very tough draw though, his first round match against ‘the King’, Mervyn King.   Remember that in the World Grand Prix, it’s a double to start, and double to finish – which can make even the best player look stupid!

 Round 1:  Terry Jenkins (3-1) 1-2 Mervyn King (3-2, 3-2)

First Set
0-1 – King takes the opener to break throw immediately.
1-1 – Jenkins struggles to open but hits a 180 and finishes 126 on the bull to level.
2-1 – Jenkins lands another 180, and finishes 40 by hitting double five and double 15.
3-1 – Jenkins initially misses six darts to open the leg before hitting a 160, and he battles back to win the set on double four.
Second Set
1-0 – Jenkins makes a brilliant start to the second set, hitting 160, 140, 177 and double 12 to win the opener.
2-0 – King misses four darts to level - one at tops, two at double ten and one at double five - as Jenkins steps in to double his advantage and move a leg away from the win.
2-1 – King hits a 180, and when Jenkins misses two match darts he lands double 16 to win the leg.
2-2 – Jenkins misses another match dart, this time at double ten for a 137 checkout, and King posts double 16 again to stay alive.
2-3 – King wins a third straight leg by finishing double eight.
Third Set
0-1 – Jenkins misses double ten and King steps in to take the final set’s opener.
0-2 – Double four from King sees him move a leg away from victory.
1-2 - Jenkins opens with a 160 and makes the initial running, but King fires in a 177 to leave 92. Jenkins misses two darts at double 16, but King misses a dart at the bull and allows him in to post double eight.
2-2 - King is first to a finish but misses double top and ten, and Jenkins hits tops to save the match and force a deciding leg.
2-3 - Jenkins scores the better in a tense decider, but misses two darts at double eight and King lands double ten to take a remarkable victory.

German Darts Masters; Terry Jenkins at Euro Tour 4

Terry Jenkins in Germany

Terry traveled to Stuttgart to take part in the 4th PDC European Tour event.  The German Darts Masters commenced on Friday with the first round split across two sessions at the Glaspalast in Sindelfingen, near Stuttgart.

The £82,100 European Tour event opens with play in the first round being held on two stages.  All games during the tournament are the best of 11 legs, with each game expected to last around 30 minutes

Terry played his first game against the ‘local’ Germany player Tomas Seyler in round 1, on the main stage in front of the German fans!  That didn’t phase The Bull though, and he ran out a winner to win a minimum £1,000 from the tournament…

Round 1:  Terry Jenkins 6-3 Tomas Seyler

Round 2: Terry Jenkins 6-4 Richie Burnett

A tough game in round 2, but The Bull proved too tough for the Prince of Wales Burnett on this occasion.  Round 3 beckons like a red rag to the BULL!

Round 3:  Terry Jenkins 4-6 Tony West

Terry unfortunately for him played a Tony West who was having a great run, and his tournament ended there.  Barnsley next weekend – so lots more darts to come from The Bull!

It’s that time, when the players head to sunny (ish) Blackpool for the 2nd most prestigious darts tournament in the PDC calendar, the Betfair World Matchplay.

With £5,000 won for just making the talented last 32, there’s also a lot of prize money on offer for those who can bring their A game.

Terry opened his campaign on the opening night, with a very tough game against the very much fancied Kim Huybrechts, one of a talented pair of brothers from Belgium.

Kim started the game in tremendous form, on a 110 average at the first break.  While other players may have given up, Terry’s fans know The Bull never ever gives in.  Terry upped his game to another level, and won leg after leg to draw level, and then overtake Kim to win the game 11-9.  The game was widely credited with being THE game of the first night, and who knows, maybe the entire first round.

Round 1:  Terry Jenkins 11-9 Kim Huybrechts

“I’m feeling exhausted after that!” said Jenkins. “It was a good game and maybe Kim should have beaten me, but he didn’t miss anything until the end there and I suppose he had to miss at some point.  At 9-5 I told myself to dig in, and I knew that if I could win a leg against the darts that I was probably going to win my legs with the darts the way I was throwing, so I was waiting for Kim to make a little mistake.

I could see that he was probably thinking about winning, and I took my chances when I had them.”

Jenkins now plays five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld, about 9.30pm, on Wednesday 25th July.

Round 2: Terry Jenkins (92.85 ave) 13-10 Raymond van Barneveld

Terry wins an amazing game, showing true bottle once again.  50% check-out average was the big difference.

1/4 Finals:  Terry Jenkins (96.94 ave) 16-12 Adrian Lewis (93.34 ave)
10x 180s and two 121 c/os for Jenkins in his magnificent win!

Jenkins has his head on this afternoon! no laughing n joking.. just pure darts chucking!  Averaging 107 after 6 legs, and 100% c/o rate!    Terry reaches a 10-6 lead still averaging over 102, including 8 maximums!  Lewis shows his world championship form to get back to 11-11.. but then The Bull pushes on again.. with a hold then a break.. 13-11 up.   Head down from that point, the crowd sing Bully’s name as he beats the world champion 16-12!

Semi Final:  Terry Jenkins 15-17 James Wade

The Bull starts fantastically once again, rushing into a 4-1 lead at the first break.   Wade then starts to come to life, and it’s 6-3.. then Wade hits 6 legs in a row.  Terry gave himself a real talking to at the break, and suddenly manages to stuff something in Wade’s spokes.. and wins 2 legs ton the trot.. now only 9-8 to Wade.  It’s a second charge from the Bull, 5 legs in a row!    The break comes at the wrong time, and Wade comes back to break.  Then a 144 for Wade to break.  13-12 to Wade, and then a fantastic 98 c/o and a break for Jenkins makes it all square again.   Wade takes a two leg advantage.. but under massive pressure, The Bull holds and breaks back, 15-15!!  Heartbreak.. Terry misses several darts to hold throw .. and Wade breaks.

Well Terry did all his fans proud in that tournament, every single game entertaining AND showing true bottle and fight.  The BULL IS BACK ON A CHARGE!

Terry Jenkins in Berlin; PDC European Tour 2

Another weekend, another tournament, and this time it was a longer trip, heading to Berlin in Germany for the 2nd PDC European tour event, where a £15,000 first prize is on offer.

Round 1:  Terry Jenkins 6-3 Magnus Caris
Round 2:  Terry Jenkins (100.32 ave) 6-2 John Part

Terry hits six x 180′s in his win against John Part, that’s some darts in only eight legs!

Round 3:  Dave Chisnall 6-5 Terry Jenkins

A very close game against Chizzy – both players throwing some fantastic darts, and both averaging over 101.

Terry on board 2 beating Dean Winstanley

Terry on board 2 beating Dean Winstanley

A bang in form Terry travelled to the Reebok stadium in Bolton looking to do some damage in the UK Open.

Terry’s first match was on the Friday evening, in the 3rd round (as he qualified within the top 32 so got to miss the ‘dodgy’ early rounds where it’s a bit of a lottery, first to 4!).

Round 3: Terry Jenkins 9-6 James Hubbard

A good win against the youth world champion – a young lad with a lot of talent and a big future in the game.

Round 4: Terry Jenkins 9-3 Dean Winstanley

Another good performance, against the always dangerous Dean Winstanley.  Terry’s name goes into the open draw for the last 16.  We’ll update once that draw has taken place.

Last 16:  Terry Jenkins 9-7 Michael van Gerwen

A huge win on the main stage in front of a packed house, and the fans really got behind the Bull - definitely a fans favourite!  Terry pushing on into the last 8.  Terry said he’s feeling really good with his darts, relaxed even when he’s down in a game.  His opponents should be worried!

1/4 Final:  Terry Jenkins 5-10 Phil Taylor

Unfortunately Phil was at his awesome best, improving with every game, and was too much for Terry in the 1/4 final game.  Phil wins with a 106.5 average.

Terry Jenkins wins NIA

Terry Jenkins wins in Birmingham! (Pic PDC)

A great run from Terry, his win against the very talented Kim Huybrechts all the sweeter for the fact Kim hit a 9 darter against him!   Colin Lloyd had beaten Wade and Mervyn King earlier, so he was in great form before being beaten by Terry.  Terry had a very tough semi final against Chizzy, who came fighting back to 5-5 from 5-2 down.. but the Bull wasn’t beaten!

Terry then went on to beat Andy Hamilton in the final for a great day – £6,000 won and another title!

Final – Leg-By-Leg
0-0 – Terry Jenkins wins the bull and will throw first.
1-0 - Jenkins punishes a slow start from Hamilton to win the opening leg comfortably, taking out 80 on tops for a 15-darter.
2-0 - Jenkins opens with a 180 against the throw and matches Hamilton’s 140, and when the World Championship finalist misses seven darts at doubles to win the leg he steps in to finish double four to break.
3-0 - Hamilton opens with a 180, but Jenkins scores 100, 140 and 180 and returns from initially missing double 12 and six to finish 81 to post double three.
3-1 – Hamilton finishes 52 on double 16 to win his first leg of the final.
4-1 – Jenkins finishes double 19 with a pressure third dart to regain a three-leg lead, with Hamilton waiting on 40.
4-2 - Hamilton opens with scores of 180, 135 and 100, and finishes double eight for a 14-darter to hit back.
5-2 - Jenkins leaves 40 after 12 darts, and finishes tops to move a leg away from victory with a 14-darter.
5-3 - Hamilton opens up with five perfect darts with scores of 177 and 140, and takes out 120 for a 12-darter to stay in the contest.
6-3 - The players trade 180s following low-scoring opening visits, before Jenkins seals victory on double ten.
