Tonight is the big one, the Ladbrokes World Championships at Alexandra Palace!
We will update Terry’s score here later, all we know at the moment is he will be playing last (about 9.50pm), and playing the winner of the prelim round between Joe Cullen v Oliver Ferenc. UPDATE: Joe Cullen wins that, 4-2 with a 94+ average.
While you are waiting for The Bull to join the competition, why not head over to the PDC website and vote for him as your favourite player!
World Championships: Round 1:
Terry Jenkins 2-0 Joe Cullen (in play)
Jenkins wins the first leg with throw.. looking good too. Cullen gets his first leg on the board, always a settler. Jenkins 2-1 up, and leaves 118 to break.. but misses t20, but leaves himself 24. Cullen is on 83, and hits bull to hold! 2-2 set 1. Jenkins on a 97 average and takes the first set 3-2. Jenkins breaks in set 2, to go 1-0 up. Averaging 101+ now! 14 darter to go 2-0 up.
106 checkout for Terry to win the 2nd set 3-0, what darts he’s throwing tonight. His average is 100.39 after two sets. 1-1 in set 3 with throw, Cullen wires inside d16 when he had a chance to break… and Terry doesn’t give him another chance. 2-1 to Jenkins set 3.
Great darts from Terry! A 116 checkout, for a 3-0 win. You have to feel bad for Joe who showed his better form in the prelim.
Terry goes into round 2!
