Round 2 of the Ladbroke World Championships today saw Terry play Co Stompe, who unlucky for him was suffering with a injured hand (a dog bite over Xmas!).

The Bull showed no sympathy though, and played like a Bull in a tungsten china shop, with huge scoring and many big ton plus checkouts.  His 4-1 win sees him through to play Justin Pipe in round 3, looking for revenge over their last game at the Player Championships finals in Doncaster.

Game Summary

Jenkins took the first leg of the game in 11 darts, then a 14 darter to break, and a 15 darter to take the first set with a 121.86 average!    The Bull then took the 2nd set 3-1, averaging 106.81 average at that point.  TJ then punished some missed doubles from Stompe as he checked out 126 (19, T19 & Bull) to lead 3-0 in sets.  Stompe then found some form, and forced the 4th set to 2-2, and Terry JUST failed to hit his tops to win the match, leaving Stompe to take his 40 to win set 4.

Set 5 was a break up and down set for both players – with the first 4 legs all breaks of throw.  Unfortunately for Terry, throwing for the game in the 5th leg, he suddenly couldn’t find a triple early on, letting Stompe take a lead… but then both players saw some nerves on the doubles.. and it was Terry who came out the winner!  4-1 and some great darts early in this game.
